ProductTruth is being built around canonical product identity, publishing and revisions, source attribution, factual metrics, verification, authentication, security, staging, and controlled release behavior. The implemented foundation is substantial, while live provider-backed ranking coverage, public statistics, and ProductTruth City remain intentionally gated until their required data systems are ready.

Owners can provide context, but measurable claims need an evidence path.
ProductTruth is structured as a public record and discovery network for software and technology products. Canonical records preserve product identity over time, while source-backed values, freshness, eligibility, methodology, and metric-specific rankings stay separate from owner-written story or context. There is no universal winner score.
Authentication and authorization became first-class product architecture.
Implemented work includes canonical identity and authorization boundaries, audit persistence, Better Auth with email OTP, explicit Google/GitHub OAuth provider linking, recent-auth controls, TOTP and backup-code protection, and provider/account rules that avoid silently merging identities by email.
The product record moved beyond a schema into a controlled publishing workflow.
Domain contracts, taxonomy, publishing persistence, revision publication, anchor verification and proof, secure media handling, shared Product Record rendering, publisher workspace behavior, migrations, CI, and staging closure are part of the current implemented foundation.
Active staging development, with unfinished systems kept visibly unfinished.
Provider adapters, catalog depth, event/job pipelines, public statistics, and the ranking data required by ProductTruth City are still being completed. City remains gated when its inherited ranking inputs are unavailable. Public traction, customers, revenue, production readiness, or a completed V1 are not claimed.
